Commissioner for Oaths
Commissioner for Oaths in the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador
If you need a document commissioned, I’m here to make the process simple, clear, and stress-free.
As a Commissioner for Oaths in Newfoundland & Labrador, I am authorized to:
Administer oaths and affirmations
Take and receive affidavits and statutory declarations
Certify that an oath, affirmation, or declaration was properly sworn
When I commission your document, I apply my official stamp confirming that the required oath or affirmation has been properly administered.
It’s important to note that I do not verify or certify the truth of the contents of your document. The responsibility for the accuracy and content remains with the person signing it.
I am not a Notary Public. A Notary Public has additional authority, including certifying documents for use outside the Province and handling certain legal and property-related matters. It is your responsibility to confirm that a Commissioner for Oaths is appropriate for your specific document.
